BC Tour 2010

Jonathan Crow, violin

The National Broadcast Orchestra (NBO) will hit the road in November, 2010, for a tour of British Columbia communities.  Performances will be conducted by NBO Artistic Director Alain Trudel, and violinist Jonathan Crow will join the orchestra as its featured guest artist.*

The Vancouver-based NBO was established in 2009 in response to the disbandment of the CBC Radio Orchestra.  Organizers determined early on that the new orchestra’s first tour should reach out to communities in its home province of British Columbia.

George Zukerman, a specialist in classical music touring, coordinated the NBO’s schedule, which will include performances in Sechelt, Penticton, Trail, Kelowna, White Rock and Abbotsford between November 14 and 20.  The final stop will be the NBO’s home venue, Vancouver’s Chan Centre for the Performing Arts on November 21.

*For the November 14 performance in Sechelt, Mr. Crow will be replaced by violinist Müge Büyükçelen of Victoria, BC.
