The National Broadcast Orchestra could not exist without several critical partnerships.  First among these is our relationship with the University of British Columbia.  The university’s Chan Centre for the Performing Arts is one of the finest concert halls in North America, and we are proud to call it our home.  The School of Music is a natural partner, sharing our goals for music education and mentorship, and the NBO’s goals for new technologies match with UBC’s focus on innovation.

A Continued Relationship with CBC

Having been the CBC’s orchestra for 70 years, the NBO is proud to have ongoing ties to its former parent.  CBC will record performances of the National Broadcast Orchestra in the Chan Centre for broadcast or CBC Radio 2, including world premieres of new works commissioned with the support of CBC.
